When taking ownership of a nigger, first shave its head. This is both for hygiene, and to help remove any additional sense of identity they feel entitled to.

Then they need to be marked as your property. I favor a serial/ID number tattooed on the back of the neck, with a matching barcode on the small of the back. Branding is also popular, and culinary stores sell branding irons with your initials for a reasonable price. I would suggest branding on both one shoulder, and one hindquarter. I also like having the nose pierced, through the septum, for a ring.

Next, you'll need to draft a title deed. This should contain your name and address, the nigger's serial number and thumbprint, and photos of the nigger's face and serial number.
