Linux isn't buggy just not enough companies have embraced it but they'll come around, in the mean time go learn that Windows has more security flaws in it then Linux does.

companies arnt going to "come around" because linux is open source, there are way too many versions out there to normalize software for every single program that comes out, and why would they when microsoft makes billions and the people who make linux distros make enough to eat and maybe play wow

Your just to stupid to realize that Red Hat makes a lot and so does Canonical, and it's not hard to port software if its all on the same Kernel normal Linux users do it all the time. Just remember Linux/UNIX servers host HideBehind.

GLOS Distro Loader

what has always annoyed me was that i have to install every distro from scratch, overwriting the system, even the same distro, if major changes have been made. for most distros i have to download and burn CD's, only to try it and realize that i don't like it or that it doesn't even install because of missing drivers.

a "distro loader" and "distro demos" could solve this problem.

to solve the problem of installation and driver licensing issues, it would have to run inside an already installed OS.

what i'm trying to say is, it's not about "unification", it's about accessibility. linux is all about independence and customization. i don't want to "merge" distro's. i believe there should be more.
